Is it a Bomar cut? I just assume so, but was thrown off when looking at Infinity rear sights. Their blades with the corners cut away are something I'd like to try before I dump Limited.

yes, it's a bomar cut.

What does the corners cut away do for you?

I guess less of the sight picture is blocked. No one local seems to have that rear sight except Heath. It seems like a good idea.

the rear sight is part of the sight picture. Look through the rear sight notch, not around the corners of it.

some bomar blades are dog eared, some arent. ED brown bomar sights are, so are dawsons.

Ive milled off the corners of sights for guys before, and some like it some dont, but its not enough to really make you say its whats holding me back. my 02, fyi

I think it may be something I prefer. Just an option.

Ha! You should have seen what happened on my last stage at OKCGC last month. Front sight broke in half and was flopping around, hanging on by the FO rod half-way through the stage! Good times... Funnily enough, I could still shoot the steel and some alphas. elephant dung, do we even NEED sights?

If ask chambers what sights r he will look at you and think sights? I have sights on a gun

I rounded the corners of my rear sight only because it was cutting the elephant dung out of my arm every time I relaxed my arms at my side.
Like Cyrwus said, the corners of the sight arent what your eyes should be focused on.

Interestingly, I actually know how to aim. I think that cutting off the corners will draw my eye more toward the notch, while providing a more pleasing overall visual. Maybe it will allow me to see poppers set up close together better when transitioning. I'm not having any problems with the current setup, but have been considering the sights from Infinity with the corners cut away for many months.
This doesn't seem like a "trick of the day", so much as something worth trying.

Mitch,
I think there are several manufacturers with the setup you're talking about.
I think Warren & Sevigny have them as well as SV.
Just giving you a few more options.

No harm in trying something different, but I'm just not sure you're going to find that "magic bullet" you're looking for.
But hey, who knows, right?

BTW, what's this about dumping Ltd?
What's the issue you have (apparently sight related)?
Why do you think it might be different in another division (unless you're talking open)?

I don't have any issue with my sights, and I haven't looked for a magic bullet in two years. My only bad habit is triggering with a bad sight picture, a holdover from spraying and praying, and I'm finally crushing that habit out of my performance so each match it's a decreasing number of instances that I let it happen. But I've been thinking about dumping Limited and moving to Production, or (dare I say it?) Single Stack, or both. Just to force myself to absolutely focus on fundamentals. Limited allows room for error, breathing room. With Production you HAVE to have Alphas, you HAVE to have good mag changes to be competitive. Same with Single Stack, but Production would theoretically utilize a much cheaper gun. I'm in this to be the best shooter I can be, not necessarily to win games. It seems worthwhile to force an incentive to practice all aspects of shooting equally. Plus, I wouldn't have to face the prospect of buying wonky $60 magazines that need $40 worth of parts added to be competitive.
My Limited gun is wicked awesome and totally reliable, but it is alarming to me to have so much money tied up in one gun. It is the only pistol I have that I can use for USPSA. Same goes for 3-Gun. At this point it's irreplaceable, and that weighs on me from time to time. I could not go get another 2011 if it were stolen out of my car. A Glock would not present the same problem. And I could always go back to Limited in the future. Any of this happening is quite a ways off, but it will happen.
