this is about as totally off topic as you can get for a firearms forum. I don't know how may of you grew up with PBS, but i fondly remember watching Sesame Street (back when it was a 3 hou long show, not an hour long celebrity cameo vehicle), Mr. Rogers (http://xkcd.com/767/), and (most importantly) Reading Rainbow. I cannot express how important Reading Rainbow was to me as a child. I can still remember most of the intro song to this day. Levar Burton Launched a Kickstarter less than a week ago to bring it back to the airwaves. His goal was 1 million dollars in 35 days. They completely blew that goal away in less than 24 hours. As i write this they are up to 3.4 million and screaming upwards. I am going to support this project if i have to panhandle at the airport to do it, and i urge everyone else to do the same. reading is the single most important skill i can think of to master, behind even writing and math (it goes reading, writing, arithmetic for a reason). If you can read, the possibilities are endless. For example, you can participate in firearms forums. If you cant read, this post means nothing to you, and you ignore me at your own peril. I would love to see this project top out at 35+ million, and am hoping to see 10-15. I hate shilling for products and projects, or even writing reviews online. But this means so much to me, and hopefully to you as well, that i have to spread it around as much as i can. Pass it around to everyone you know, and kick in a few dollars if you can spare it.
