One complaint I have heard a lot from ladies about semi-auto handguns is it's too hard to rack the slide. The two most common responses are, "You're doing it wrong," and "Get a .380." I recently had the pleasure of shooting a RIA 22 TCM, and I was shocked how light the slide spring and recoil were. It felt more like operating a 22 LR than anything else. The flipside: the cartridge being basically a .223 short, the fireball and report were "significant" to say the least. I don't know if I would want to fire it without hearing protection (e.g. in a self defense situation), but flipping that coin back over, I would definitely not want to be on the receiving end. The flash-bang effect may be an added bonus for SD.
