The Central Oklahoma 89er Chapter of Quail Forever is sponsoring a youth fun shoot on June 18, 2011. The objective of the shoot is to introduce youth to the sport of shotgun shooting in a safe and fun environment and is open to both boys and girls ages 10 to 18. The instructors are either NRA certified in basic shotgun instruction or certified through the Oklahoma Hunters Education Program.
In addition to the shotgun shooting, we have arranged for members of the Leopold Foundation, a conservation group, to conduct an educational program designed to increase the ecological awareness of our youth. The material they will cover relates to hunting, fishing, and conservation skills.
The event will take place at Silverleaf Shotgun Sports on June 18, 2011, starting at 9:00 am and concluding with lunch. Due to the generosity of our supporters, there is not a charge; however, pre-registration is required. If you have additional questions or want to register, please contact Jim Bare at 405-917-5553 or [email protected].
