what if a friend and i go to PSA, we both buy a lower for $119, then we swap lowers?

we should all do that. really mess with the heads.

I guess it depends on how close you live to PSA, what your time and gas to go there is worth.
119+tax+gas+time there and back...

i dont count my gas and time. like reloading, im not selling bullets so my time isnt in the equasion. i dont like having things shipped. what i like is holding the product in my hand, and being able to buy it right then.

i multitasked the last time. went to the rally in Columbia, then went to both PSA stores, found 2 lower reciever kits they didnt know they had, bought them, and then stopped in at the gun show at the temple for a couple of parts i found i could use.

even so i would drive the 100 miles to get something they had that i wanted.

whats an armslist?

$200 shipped isnt overprice.
Add tax to the store price and its $130, shipping is another $12. so if your time to drive from say Litchfield to Columbia and back aint worth 45-50 bucks then your probably unemployed and driving a moped.
Because my time is worth about $25 an hour to me and my f150 only gets 18 MPG on the highway. So to drive to Columbia takes up a minimum of 3 hours of time and $35 in gas.
So this may be an insane concept to you but...some people work for a living. They are not retired or on disability or laid off from their toilet cleaning job at Truckstops America and they have things to do other than drive across the state to stand around in line at PSA waiting to see if they have any lowers in stock.
Now you may have all the time in the world, for whatever reason. Hell you may live next door to PSA.
But dont assume that your situation is reflective of everyones.
oh and just for the record...
