Problems with my .22 AR...

Do any of you guys know anything about Ciener kits? A lot of you have seen this rifle run at tons of matches but all of the sudden it's doing nothing but jamming and I'm at my limit on these issues. lol...

My setup is a modified ciener kit in a dedicated upper with what I think is a modified 10/22 barrel. The ceiner modification is simply cutting off the chamber adaptor and reaming it out to make it a barrel adaptor. This setup ran like a sewing machine for about 30,000-40,000 rounds.

Before I replace the damn thing I'm hoping someone might have some experience with these issues and be able to help.

extraction... but it's not jamming the same way everytime.

you're welcome to use my kit in your rifle to see if the problem is with the kit or the chamber. You may be able to pinpoint the problem easier after you narrow down the location. We can also run your kit in my rifle.

I'd like to give that a shot. I even bought another kit and have mixed and matched parts with no improvement... Another upper would be the next step in this progression.

Well I got the .22 out again today. After trying everything I decided that there was the slightest possibility that the ammo might be the problem. Guess what? it was the ammo. I tried a some Ferderal auto match that I had stashed in the safe and it worked very well in both my setup and in a nordic setup that Chambers loaned me, in fact the nordic was 100% with this ammo. My guess at this point it looks like I've got a batch of out of spec ammo?

I have always shot the 550 packs of federal from walmart. And the subsonic aguila ammo worked very well yoo

I've always shot the same ammo Wormy, I had 22 boxes of 550. In fact I've literally shot through 20 boxes of the Federal bulk ammo with no problems in recent months. The last 2 boxes have been problematic. Side by side this afternoon the auto match ammo ran and the bulk ammo jammed... I'm as surprised as anyone at this point.
