Problems (and fix!) with Warne RAMP

In the market for a mount recently and was able to grab a Warne RAMP for $100. Whenever I went to mount up my SWFA SS with the lever I realized the lever didnt clear the rear of the mount where the angled rails are. I initially tried turning the mount around and running it backwards but couldnt get near enough eye relief. So onto the mill it went, and heres how it came out...

Plenty of clearance between the highest points of the lever and the mount. Full rotation no problem.


Didnt get in the threads of the accessory rails or compromise the mounts integrity

and the lever clears the rails just fine.
Just something others should know and consider before purchasing.

I thought about cutting it off, but I didnt want to destroy the whole selling point of the mount. I will probably end up using one of the angled rails. As far as the SWFA, its a nice scope. I looked at a lot of 1-4 scopes for a long time before deciding on this one. I definately like the FFP and the reticle as far as that goes. Clarity and illumination are great. I havent used it in a match or anything yet, hopefully soon though.
