Problem with Decocker

i was at the range last night shooting my Beretta 92 FS and the decocker stopped working. the safety still works - it was disengaging the trigger, but it wasnt decocking the hammer. i actually like the fact that it doesnt decock the hammer but i'm not sure if its safe to shoot like this.

anyone have any experience with this?

I wouldnt shoot it. Theres probably something broke up in the slide.

Hmmm, do you think this is this something i can repair myself or do i need to find a good gunsmith?

I agree with Mike. Anytime a gun doesn't function as intended, there's a safety risk.

I'd get it looked at if you can't find the problem on your own

I'm no gunsmith so i probably wont be able to find the problem myself. i'll get it looked at, it should still be under warranty anyway.
