Hi guys,
Because of my new job, I will be out of pocket for the next few matches (I hope not too many.)
John Oxford has agreed to run both the ProAm and Steel Challenge matches in my absence.
John will certainly need your help though. If you are able to, please show up early (7:30am) to help Joh set up the match. The more people that show up to help, the faster the match set up will go. Keep in mind, this will the first time John will be leading the set up of the match, so please be patient and help with out as much as you can.
So please come support the Oil Capital ProAm match, have fun, be safe, and here is the info on our next match:
ProAm match this Saturday 8-15-15 at Oil Capital Rod & Gun Club.
The board has agreed to let us set up our targets the way we have run them in the past (this is great new regarding spatter and ricochets.)
Signup starts at 9:30am, and shooting at 10:00am.
$20 to shoot, $15 for OC members, and as always, free of charge to LEOs and active military. (Maybe $5 for a second gun, but depending on number of shooters.)
Divisions: Center fire pistol iron sights, center fire pistol open, revolver, rimfire pistol iron sights, rimfire pistol optics, rimfire rifle iron sights, rimfire rifle optics.
All dropping steel targets.
We will have a secondary match with a couple of tactical stages for sequencing purposes as well. These will serve as our tie breaker.
Will have COFs later this week.
Always looking for ideas of stage design, so stage suggestions are always welcome.
Anybody interested in having the one on one stage, let me know.
Got a stage suggestion? Send it this way.
Round count will be around 200.
Lots of movement and reloads, but still 22 friendly.
Anybody interested in participating with a 9, 40, or 45 carbine is welcome to do so (no necked cartridges.)
If you are in good shape, we will greatly appreciate any help tearing down after the match, but no pressure if you want to leave or can't help.
As always, we have plaques for 1st place winners.
Directions to OCR&GC: http://www.ocrgc.com/?q=node/44
Hope to see you at the range.
