Prize Table Discussion

Maybe im out of bounds here but for the new guys You are all now finding out how dedication to boomer shooter is important. Weather you check in once a day or hang out a few times a day. Don't just use boomer for the cool shirt and free stuff. How ever I understand most of us have a job we are at all day but most have a smart phone we can check in and read all the great info. We do this for the sponsors and they are all greatful enough to give back to us. Like I said sorry if this is out of bounds.
"Great Info"

All I am hoping is that one of the hailey lowers is still available when I am up. The urge to build an AR is growing. I swear building them things is like crack: try it once and you spend the rest of your existence figuring out ways to get parts for the next fix.

Hats off to BoomerShooter crew for putting it altogether. I didn't get to pick at all a couple of years ago...now we all get some goodies.
Thanks again Sponsors...looking forward to warmer weather so we can get started for 2015

Never realized how bad the internet experience is on an iPhone until my internet at the house died and Cox said Sunday between 1-3 for repair :-( trying to keep up with the prize list just gives me "about blank" so hopefully when my name comes up shortly I don't pick one that has already been picked.

Sorry I don't spend my entire weekend sitting on the computer so you can get your pick of something free

Maybe next year don't participate?
Brandon we all know that this program is a lot of leg work on your part and we all appreciate the work of running the site, soliciting sponsors and keeping everything and everyone in check to make sure it runs smoothly. I'm sure you are bombarded with questions and messages and the timing right before SHOT show is weighing in on it, making the second part of your statement shows the frustration.

Maybe some upfront clarification on how things will flow could have been communicated to the new participants a little better, I know from last year what to expect and about the up and down flow of picking the prizes. Some new participants may not, you have to remember their excitement of participating in the program all year is wrapping up, their hard work of shooting matches and representing BoomerShooter and all of the sponsors are here to pay off with this great program, I understand their excitement because I feel it myself. It's not about just getting something free, most of us promote BoomerShooter, the sponsors to the contingency program and patronize the sponsors as a show of support. I have personnaly purchased things from sponors to thank them for their support even though I could have found things a little cheaper online, its my way of saying thanks. The members who participate are here because they believe in the site, the service and wisdom of its members and also the dedication that is involved by yourself, the moderators and the sponsors.

Guys if you are in line please be patient, there are a lot of things going on for the personnel running the site and also the guys picking prizes. The prizes are not going anywhere and will be there when it gets to be your turn. Understand that Brandon and all others have jobs and will log in when they can.

Brandon maybe a suggestion is to allow the other site moderators to help out when you're not available? Not sure if that will mess up your organization of record keeping for the prizes and order of picking.

Sorry just my $.02 as an outsider helping both sides.

FYI, I'm happy with how things are. That said, if you wanted to keep the process short, just randomize the whole shebang. To appease the top 10, you could still allow picks for them and the next 200+ people get tossed in the hopper. Boom, done in a day.

Sweet.... my internet at the house is back :gaming: Major thanks to Cox for calling and asking if I would want to move my appointment up. Apparently some punk cut my cable in the cable distribution box in someones back yard as they ripped the back of the box apart. I'm thinking someone might be getting a nasty letter from Cox about stealing services but at least I'm back online!

I was concerned I would be holding up the process when the time came for me to pick but all is good now. Thanks to Brandon for putting together the contingency program and putting up with our BS.
