I have a Sig 556 that I'd like to get the buttstock, grip and handguards cerakoted in OD green. What's a fair price? So far, I've been quoted a price of $120.00 and that sounds a bit high.

not bad when you consider that the buttstock might have to be detail stripped and disassembled/re-assembled.
You can sell the crap you have now and buy each one of those parts in OD green and be out much less.

The OD green furniture for a Sig 556 seems to be rare. There is really nothing to strip from this stock except the buttpad.

Larry--Forgive a dumb question, but if it's only the furniture, wouldn't Krylon be just fine? Why cerakote plastic? A can of paint can easily be touched up if it scratches down the line...it's a WHOLE lot cheaper...and since you can do it yourself, you don't have to be without your beloved gun. Win-win?

I'll confess i'm still trying to work up the courage to do it to my FNAR's furniture...But that doesn't stop me from prodding someone else to go ahead! :)
