I'm running out of bullets and its time to buy again... currently I have been running J&K 147g lead TC w/ 4.2g power pistol cci or federal primers at 1.135OAL. My only complaint is they smoke. But what I want to know is there any advantage to lighter bullets.

My shooting budget is like squesing water out of stone. So I would like some cheap options that reduce the smoke.

I'm currently shooting a m&p9 with which I plan to shortly replace the recoil spring with a 13lb'r

I shoot a 147 in my CZ's

If you plan on shooting lead - check out Unique Precision Bullets - they are from Yuth - they blow the price of J&K's out the water and its also a fellow local(ish) shooter.

Unique - $49 / 1k (if i remember correctly)
JK - $61 / 1k

$48/k plus $11.50/2k 9mm. ($1.50 for 1k saved $14.50 on 2k not including gas or wear and tear)Not bad. I also dislike the leading. Even though I bought some chore boy and it works better then ANYTHING I've tried at removing leading

Chase I've heard the Donnie is running anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months behind. Just give him a call and get it from the horse's mouth.

Personally I'd stick with J&Ks. No wait and you can drive over and pick them up. And then I'd cease and desist using powerpistol powder immediately. For the love of all that's holy there isn't a powder that will smoke more, I don't think, not even titegroup. Get you some WST and save that for hot jacketed defense loads. You could save a small bit more money by dropping down to 125's too.

Save the power pistol?(I only buy it cuase It's cheap I also have most of pound left and I can get about 1400 rounds out of a pound).
How much does WST cost per pound?
If I'm switching to 125g bullets I might as well change powders too being I don't have a load made up for it.
