JB you are a 21st century cowboy. What kind of draw and split times do you get with those things?

That makes me want to try revo...almost. :)

Very impressive. Makes me never want to bother with competing in the shooting world. <_<

Wait... I don't compete. It's all good.

Thanks for the comments guys. I started with a Model 19-4 in 2005 and won the Stock Service Revolver division at the IDPA Nationals with that gun the same year. It was the first year they split the moon clip guns off into ESR. Miculek won ESR of course, but I did beat him on 4 stages! :)

I switched to the 686 the next year because I got a good deal on it and it already had a Randy Lee trigger job. The 19 drives faster between targets and is much easier to hit a fast reload on. The 686 has better split times and stays flatter on the recoil. I was getting about 1 second draws from concealment with the 19 and about 1.05-1.1 on the 686. As stated, the reloads are a little slower on the L frame bu about .1 or so, but the splits are much faster. The 19 ran about .22 splits and the 686 about .18 to .19 on a 7 yd target with zero down.

I've shot a little ICORE, but IDPA is my comfort zone. :)

The lock has been determined to be a "storage device" and not a safety. Therefore it is legal in IDPA with the lock removed. You must have the hammer block in the gun though, as that is considered a safety device.

Here is my very first classifier match. D Class baby!!!

Here is my first ime behind a revo at a match. The commentary by Matt Johnson and Javier Martinez is hilarious. Stop watching at 335 as something went haywire with the sound.

You really need to see what's going on from both sides of the gun.
This is the best one in slo-mo I've been able to find.

I'll be happy to show you what not to do. I have an excellent example from N. Tx sectional, but I don't know how to attach it.
