Guys, We will be shooting again this weekend. Things are still up in the air a bit on the new bays. They are still raw dirt. If we get some rain and they do not dry out by the weekend, we will be shooting in the same 3 bays we have been using. The forecast is showing the rain will probably miss us up here. If that is the case, we will be able to use the new bays. I will post on Friday the range status. The guys spread a lot of gravel on the parking area and road, this will help a lot if we do have some rain this week.
If we have the 4 bays, we will shoot 8 stages, 4 large field courses, the balance will be speed shoots and medium courses. The round count will be in the 160 range.

Future plans include:
March, having a classifier match. It is an excellent opportunity to get classified in one match or get that classification with a different gun. You will be able to shoot multiple guns at this match. There will be more info coming in the near future.

April, we will be hosting the Hose Down match again. I am still debating on having either 4 or 5 stages. If we go with 5, they will all be 60 round stages. With 4, they may get up to 70, but I think that is enough rounds in a stage, even for the hose down.

All of these will be on the normal 2nd Saturday.
Let us know if you have any special requests, we will see if we can make them happen.

hmmmm, may have to get down there for this match... who is going from OKC?? also this is uspsa, right??

Looks like there are lots of great things going on at Ponca City! This is outstanding news. This is a great bunch of guys that put on great events...

Yes, this is USPSA. It is amazing how I knew what I was talking about when I was typing it, but when I go back and read it, there is stuff left out that I should have included.
FYI match cost is 15 for non PCR&P Club members. Directions to the range can be found at www.poncarpc.org
Start time is about 9 am. Sign up happens pretty quick, usually starts about 8:45

dangit, I have to miss this one.
The match sounds more awesome than usual.
You guys keep up the good work.

Yeah sorry guys I just found out I have plans! don't ask.

Looks like it's gonna be a bit longer before I can get to some of the away shoots that damn priority thing again. Later,

Kirk

Ok, looks like we missed the rain up here.
We will be shooting in 4 bays. I have the stages drawn up. The round count is 166.
should be a good time . The weather man keeps improving the forecast.
Even get to use most of our toys.

Who wants to do the carpool thing? Im up in north Edmond, so waterloo and I-35 work for anybody?

We just got finished setting up 4 pistol bays for the match. Weather is going to warm up quickly with light winds.
Two Texas stars, polish plate rack, and lots of steel. See you there in the morning!

Sorry I'm going to miss this one Dennis, But I'll be shooting with our brothers to the north this weekend

You can, but its a long drive. We have shooters from SE Kansas show up pretty regular for some of the matches.

I feel your pain though. I see lots of matches that I'd like to attend as well, but economics just doesn't
allow it.

I do some of the USAA matches in Tulsa, and Some in OKC. Thats about the extent of the travels.

I need to put the OKC USPSA on my Radar Screen. I do the carry matches at Heartland on occasion. Makes for a long night with a 2 hr drive afterward.

Sometimes all of the driving is a pain, but these matches are well worth the effort. Chances are very good that some of us will be at Old Fort on Sunday as well. lol..
