What kind of setup for a scope do you have? I have the Colt M4 OPS...........I was looking for a carry handle, (everything in stock around here at the time, that had a handle, were in pink!), but have decided to scope it out. I do not have experience with scopes, but would really like to set this one up for one. (Wife is the one pushing for this, but I think when I set it up, it will be "hers".............She was REALLY pushing to get one of the pink ones!)....................I have been looking online, trying to figure out what type of rail it has, do I need a riser to keep the use of "peep" sights, and to clear the front sight, etc.....I made the mistake of buying a .22 cal scope from Wally World, and it wouldn't fit my factory rails, not to mention, I could see things as well with the naked eye, as opposed to looking thru the scope! Also, any leads as to where I can find some mags for it? I have found some 10 rounders, which will do, but I would really like to find another 30 rounder, without paying $150 bucks for it. Of course, I could find one of the "panic buyers", and sell it for $1500, and go to PSA and get a real AR...........Any input from anyone is appreciated, thanks.

My carry handle came with the rifle from Umarex. like you see in the top recent pic.....I had to get the carry handle scope adapter from ATP (levels the handle for the scope to sit flat)..........I tried a red dot scope and a reflex scope before and settled on the 8 inch long NcStar Tactical scope that is on it now......I guess you could paint things pink with Krylon Fusion if you were so inclined to do so.

I got rid of two 30 round mags recently in favor of the 20 round mags......Keep one ten to use when bench shooting or zeroing....Call or email Umarex.USA and order the 30 round mags about 45 bucks...Their customer service is great........................Does your Colt have the new model 90* safety or the older style 180*

If you mount any kind of scope on the flat top, the front sight will present problems and you will need a rizer....THe rig on my rifle allows you to see through to use the iron sights.

Thanks for the info panzer22. Mine has the 90 degree safety. I will try the umarex site. I couldn't get anywhere going to the colt .22 tactical site. Thanks again.

Please post some pics of your rifle......There doesn't seem to be many 22lr (Walther) Colt M 16/M 4 owners around here.......I also have the S&W M&P 15 22 and I find both to be excellent firearms.....................I would enjoy hearing from those that have and enjoy them.......(I am sill on a quest for reasonably priced ammo)

PS: Umarex has discontinued the M 16...I can get the A 2 buffer tube from them, but they have no A 2 stocks......I guess I will have to experiment with the afttermarket military type versions......I don't mind a little DIY now and then. :roll:

Panzer22, I just called Umarex, ordered a 30 rnd. mag, and carry handle.........I think it was you that posted looking to trade 30's for 20's.........Umarex said all the 20's they had were "allocated" for a large order. Anyway, I appreciate the suggestion to call them, as I was relying on the website alone, which wouldn't let me order anything. I will try to post some pics of mine soon. I still may play around with putting a scope on it, though...........
