Narrow front sight post, that shows lots of light each side when aiming? Or wider front sight post, with just a little sliver of light showing? I'm not going into pros and cons of FO yet, because I'm not sure if they are right for me, anyway.

Narrower front sight or wider rear sight notch allows faster sight alignment, wider front sight allows more precise sight alignment. If the majority of your shooting is going to be action pistol or 3 gun, you will usually want a narrower front sight, if the gun is to be used for bull's eye type shooting, a wider front sight is better. I really like the medium-thickness front sight and a widened rear sight notch personally.
