So I bought an armalite clamp on FSB for my little carbine.

I also bought the DPMS A2 rear that looks like the back half of a carry handle.

I'm looking at the upper and my brain tells me that it would be better if the rear sight was just a little further back, it looks like I could make another slot in the upper to accomplish this but I don't want to go through the effort if moving the rear sight aft isn't going to accomplish anything useful.

What say you guys?

I'm of course not those dudes but I know Pinto cut a slot in his upper to mount it back just a little bit farther. I say bust out the hack saw/file and get 'er done.

I watched Kurt cut Pintos upper to do exactly what your thinking bout doing. When it comes to sight radius size matters. With other things in life it's not that big a deal.

Yes I cut mine and Mikes and a whole bunch of others! You might have to cut a corner off your rear sight as well so the charging handle will still lock in. I had to on Mikes and Mine and the other Mike's and Dales and....well you get it!

You cut on mine !!!! Dammmit I hate shootin irons !!

OH OK you mean some other Mike........

THANK GOD !!!

Eh' I'll figure it out. :)

I'm good at winging stuff, it's the planned out crap that always fails.
