Ive been wanting to get into hunting with a recurve for a while now. I picked up a old Browning Explorer 1. Its 55# draw weight. Its only a 56" so it may be a little short for me but I got it for a good price. Ill see if Im into it enough to spend the money on a new one. Its kind rough but with a little wood polish it should clean up pretty good. Im going to pick up a new string and replace the arrow rest and shoot the crap out of it.

Thanks Mike, I'll take you up on that. This one is a little short on draw length but I'll just use my release until I decide if I really want to get serious

no releases on recurves, they need that side pressure that fingers give them. if it gets pinchy then you can drop your bottom finger, or use a thicker tab.
