Made my first visit to Palmetto State Armory today, nice place. Left with a Mossberg 500 Persuader. Got the "tacticool" version with heat shield, 18.5" bbl, pistol grip and adjustable stock. Will try to add a picture or two when I get home. I'm hoping the wife will like the stock, she's almost a foot shorter than me.

Congrats on the new shotgun purchase! I hope you enjoy it and even more so I hope your wife does as well. My wife won't shoot my Benelli/HK any more. She keeps saying something about the recoil

Cheers....

Thanks, brother! She knows recoil ain't gonna matter when a crackhead is breaking down the door. I still owe her a glock 19, but this will suffice until I can grab one of those.

Palmetto State Armory manufactures their own brand of AR-15 rifle and they can be had, regularly, for under $800.

Why did you buy a pump-action shotgun from them instead of their AR-15?

It's kind of like going to Burger King and ordering a salad. I don't get it.

I hear ya, the AR is on the list of to-gets. I was looking at the Colt 6920 but I'm leaning towards the PSA now. Just gotta get the funds together.

here's a crappy picture of it... NOT my couch, btw.

If you buy a Knoxx recoil-reducing stock and keep the gun loaded with reduced recoil buckshot then your wife will probably not hate the recoil. I like Fiocchi 00 Law Enforcement Reduced Recoil.

I'm going to look into those then. Thank you for the info.

Looks sharp.
I just traded some stuff for a 2007 500 Persuader a couple months ago. 20" barrel with the 8+1 mag tube. I had the same stock but I like traditional stocks better so sold it. Now I just need to find a wood long action forend before I refinish the wood and DuraCoat all of the steel.

Nice! I looked at the traditional stock ones, but went with the adjustable so my wife can shoot it comfortably. Honestly I wanted a 590a1 but couldn't justify 5-600 bucks on a shotgun.
