Pic of my baby girls!!

AWESOME PICS of the babies Frost!!!! Thanks for sharing those!!! :D :D Nothing better than a dog on squirrel patrol!!

Well, the wife finally wore me down enough to get a dog. :P
I'm hoping he'll be as good a dog as he seems so far. The place said he was a border collie/blue heeler mix. Not too big, not too small. Name's Dax

He'll be an indoor dog yes, sadly we don't have a huge backyard for the guy. There is a dog park right down the street (100yds maybe?). My wife has been wanting to get a job for a long time, and I have too, but we haven't been able to afford one lately with the truck crapping out and other problems.

He seems to be getting used to his new surroundings rather well, listens to basic commands also.

Nice looking Dog.

House dogs tend to have much more personality than yard dogs.
My dogs have always been house dogs.

We adopted him from a rescue here in SLC. He's 4 and used to live on a ranch, so he's actually really good about coming when called.

The only thing we're working on now, is getting him and the rats to get along. Our rat sushi is really territorial I think, cause everytime Dax gets too close to the cage, sushi goes ballistic (hissing, stomping, snapping). The funny part is, Dax thinks she's playing... so it's a bit of a cruel cycle trying to get them to behave.

Dogs with Border Collie in them NEED a job! They are very intelligent. That being said, Dax may get very bored indoors. Unless yours adapts to unemployment, he may do things to the home. Walks and attention will be definitely required!

Great looking dog though, hope all works out fine. I've always wanted to have a couple of Border Collies! 8-)

I was personally hoping for a basset hound, but we couldn't find one that wasn't either like 10yrs old or a fresh puppy.

While I love a dog in the house again, I like the fact that I could find one already house-trained and didn't have to go through that fiasco.

Ya know if we didn't have a problem with wild dogs and coyotes I'd probably get another dog. For now I have to make do with my attack cat.

Thankfully on base we don't have a problem with wild dogs or coyotes. I don't know about snakes though... haven't seen any yet, but it IS winter here. :D

Thanks for reminding me though, I need to call SF and ask what their policy is about snake disposal... I don't want them showing up at my door in attack mode cause I was defending self or family from a rattler.
