So here's a petition on whitehouse.gov asking Obama to remove suppressors from the NFA list. Yeah, right. But the petition to reform gun control (in the wrong direction) at least got enough signatures to warrant a speech -- or did it? FWIW...

There isn't a system in place for national referendums. These online petitions are "feel good" puffs of smoke. If a petition supporting a pre-existing Obama position gets a lot of signatures then the petition is showcased. If a petition gets popular that doesn't mirror the desires of the White House then it isn't acknowledged.

There will be no consideration.

I approve of the sentiment but I'm pretty sure this is something that needs to be changed by Congress and the WH has no authority over it...not that I want Class III getting any attention from any of those crooked ass politicans anyways
