Perfect home defense shotgun

I'm keeping both of mine, you'll have to find your own.

You can find a used M1 for around $800 if you look hard enough. I bought a 21" one for $725 off a local gun classifieds site.

You need a used Benelli M1 or SBE.

This would be my only choice for home defense. If you spent $1150 you could get a brand new M2.

Does anyone use their 3-gun setup for double duty home defense? 14rds of 00 sounds awesome...as does bumping into every door frame with my tube =P

Just talking off the top of my head, but I'd think that if your proficient at the range with a gun, and practice, practice, etc with it, then it might be a pretty good choice for HD vs a shotgun that sits in the corner and never gets used.
If a person shoots a semi auto all the time at matches and then relys on a mossy pump gun for HD, while getting woke up in the middle of the night, brain foggy, etc, I'd think the gun your most familiar with would be the one I'd choose for HD. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't use a short barrel 3 Round shotgun for home defense. I would much rather have my 14 round Tac optics gun.
