Peltor 6S muffs?

I've had a couple pairs of the 6S and they go bad in about a year with heavy use due to sweat in the electronics.

The Tactical Sport pair I have has been going strong for much longer. They are double the price of the 6S.

Go with Howard Leights from Amazon. I have both and the cutting in and out of the Peltors is annoying as hell, batteries are harder to change and don't last as long. Plus the HLs from Amazon are a little over $40.

I just went to the Howard Leights I really like them. Even use them when mowing because you can plug in an IPod or Pandora on iPhone and get some tunes along with hearing protection

You are not the first I have heard say that. IMO the 6s started out as a great product but the quality has just slipped in recent years. Mine stopped working right after one match and I have had then about 3 years.

Look into custom molded hearing protection.

Check out Hear-Pro. They are a forum sponsor that offers a great product. The PRO39s are great passive hearing protection for the money.
