The Pawnee Run 'n Gun is a center fire biathlon, combining a 5K or 10K course with several shooting stations for rifle and pistol, designed to test the shooter under a variety of situations. Come test your gear and yourself, and get an idea of how you might perform under a true Second Amendment situation.

Holy cow, I haven't ran 5k since high school. Do you rent carts and just call it a procedural? Or maybe someone wouldn't mind hauling 225 lbs around with them?

It's a lot of fun. Challenging, but fun. There were all types at the July event. Short guys, tall guys, young, old, skinny, fat, you name it. Run/walk at your own pace. You get to run around out in the woods with guns, and you get a cool t-shirt out of the deal.

That's exactly right. While it is a competition, it is intended mostly as a readiness exercise/gut check, and to give the participants an idea of what they need to work on.

If you can walk 3 miles carrying 20-30 lbs. of stuff and can climb up a steep creek bed here and there, you can do this course.
