Over 100 lbs lost since September

Yikes - doesn't sound too healthy - how do you maintain the weight afterwards?

Your body will basically be trained to only eat health food. Stuff that is bad for you will make you feel bad. Its more of a lifestyle change than anything. You can eat normally after the diet but instead of a double cheese burger you will want a grilled chicken sandwich...no mayo please!

It's sweet! Thanks for all the encouragement! Just broke the 220 barrier! I was 219 and that is so awesome!!

Amazing job JP. You are to be congratulated although I'm sure the way you feel trumps everything anyone could say.

I was well on my way to my goal of dropping 20 pounds last year but then I got myself hooked on pop again. It's amazing how the calories add up with just a few cokes every day.

I was told by a friend of mine who saw a nutritionalist that cutting out pop not only avoids those calories but the carbonation is an issue because it expands in your stomach and then you end up feeling hungry. They also said a similar effect comes on using drinking straws because it puts air in your stomach. The third thing they said to cut out was chewing gum... it actually has a negative effect contrary to what some might believe because it generates saliva and gets your juices going to make you hungry again.

Anyway... good luck on your continued effort and great job!

Guys - ask chambers if you don't believe me or use these vids as proof

If I can help anyone make a lifestyle change for the better, just ask!

and yes I did just make my clip start at a certain point.

JP!! I just saw this thread for the first time; I hate how stuff gets buried until someone makes a new post.

Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS! This is very inspiring!! Thanks for sharing.

Stand proud!!

Aww Thanks Sandy! It was a hard road, but well worth it! Awesome pics by the way, and I will see you this weekend!

awesome job! i was around 290 at my heaviest, a few years ago. i got down to 225 by basically just cutting out the sugary soda. i switched to koolaid, and maintained. then i had to be put in the hospital for surgery and they told me i was diabetic. i have switched to diet rc for drink since it doesnt have aspartame.

i am just hung up here around 225-230. no matter what i do, no more will come off. even when i went hardcore diet after the hospital visit, i still stayed the same. didnt get under 220.

i guess i need to start doing more exercising to increase my fat burning.
