Reasearch project for anyone interested in it. About 20 (maybe 30) years ago there were two women who had someone break into their house, so they called the police and crawled out on the roof if i rember correctly. the police showed up, knocked on the door, and left when no one answered. the girls, believeing the police would protect them, and wouldnt have left unless it was safe, went back inside. the intruder then captured them, and spent some time torturing and rapeing them. i dont rember if they were killed at the end of this or not. does anyone know when and where that was? or remember the girls names?

I have tried finding it online, but going through 30 years worth of history on the internet without anything more specific is difficult at best. On the other hand i found out that the new york PD have a history of rape and abuse of power thats impressive enough in its own right. Enough so that i am surprised that bloomburg allows anyone but his own select bodyguards to have guns.

There is another case of a woman who applied for a restraining order against her husband, police were not obligated to protect her, and I *think* he ended up murdering her. Can't remember that case name...
