This varmint was brave I'll give it that. I caught it around the horses and barn first and then trying to get in my garage.

Another good reason to carry.
I'm sure the horses would be a uncomfortable with this guy in the barn as a women with a mouse loose in the house.

;)

The horses didn't like it one bit that it was cruising around them. Now i know why people get bit by these guys they have no fear, This one at first tried to walk up to me before i went and got the rifle.

Nice shootin' Tex! It's odd to see them out and about during daylight hours near the barn or house.

I think it was hunting the garbage cans which are in the garage. Vinny I hit it with a old savage semi auto .22 I have hanging in my shop office.

If it was rabid, a little spray of 20% clorox solution will take care of any virus that may survive in the soil where it bled.

Dave thanks for the tip I'll have to remember that, I pretty much buried it were it dropped which was close to the tree line.

Sure was a good looking target!

We had one hanging out in our back yard here. My wife saw him twice, both at night time. First time he was sitting on top of the bulkhead doors to the cellar, second time just roaming our jungle. Funny how the tiniest yard in a city can go jungle on you- then turn into a wildlife refuge!

Thanks for the tip Greg, I'm getting ready to lime the pasture shortly so I'll make sure to keep out a little extra.
