Old army training films - great for smith-types

This is the typical dry and seemingly boring normal WWII Army training film.

However, they take a model of a gun from just a cartridge and barrel all the way up to full-automatic in increments to show how each part works. Well worth the 45 minutes or so for all 4 parts. I really admire the craftsmanship that went into that model, too.

I'm never really sure. In the Air Force I was totally fascinated by the 50's era training reels of radar and other avionics stuff. So the fact that I sat through this with a Coke and chips doesn't mean it's not boring to other people.

In fact, it warrants a better location if you can put up the rest and any other related training films like these. Then we can make it a sticky in a more appropriate category(to be determined).

I would search for some myself but I simply must retire for the evening- plus I am overdue on some medication! :?

hey, thats not a cheap cardboard model. thats real wood and metal.

dont let Fienstien see this or she will want to remove some of those 8 steps.

one more thing. if my father had seen this i would have a model like that. he was a builder, fabricator, extrodanair.
