I’ve heard it said many times, “It’s better to ask forgiveness than permission”.
It’s really nice to know up front what the carry policy is going to be of places you frequent. It makes you feel more at ease knowing what the policy is, and how you can expect to be treated. Because of this, some are tempted to bring up the topic of OC with places where they do business. According to conventional wisdom at opencarry.org, this is a bad idea.

Just read the article and found it informative. I've also heard that Resors has backed down from their gun buster policy after receiving a flood of letters and phone calls.

These folks are there in business to make money. When they see the money going elsewhere, its going to make them think about their decision.
