Thought we had a "lifetime" membership to hunt the Walking Dead! Guess, it never hurts to be "legal" though...which State department gets the $3.99? ðŸ˜"

Dennis, there are 2 BIG shoots next month (Nebraska & Minnesota)...we have already paid for 3 slots in MN, but are thinking of foregoing it to shoot competition (practice)....wanna take our place? It would make for one big road trip & they say the party is worth it!

In March, we were 2 of 100 shooters/slayers at Elm Fork Shooting Range near Dallas. We both made it to the prize table...Yep!!! They are scheduling another there in October....we're definitely going back!

Matt:
If sanity is lost it would be great to fall back on your Zombie training.

If I was oh only 30 yrs younger......

Sorry. I wouldn't be able to properly train you cause I haven't yet received my mossberg zombie lever gun or super cool AR with chainsaw attached. (Read lots of sarcasm here)

call me slow or just plain dumb but I'm not sure I'm catching a reference to being 30 years younger having anything to do with the zombie gayness.

Speaking of the Mossy. We have local the mossy entry tm (whatever the hell the name is) 500 with the chainsaw grip. Thought it was stupid on Top Shot and still do. I keep looking for the pull cord and where to put the bar/chain oil.

Instead of the Monster Mash someone will come out with the Zombie Bash lol.

I too was not aware there were Zombi Matches local to OK. I see this as the comedian that smashed stuff and shooting combined. If the prize table is good it might make for a break from reality.

It is what it is...a fad, trend & just a reality break....the pics from Shot Show (re: AR/Chainsaw, etc) were laughable, As are the CDC ads....wonder what the niche market will be in another 10 years?

I think the zombie thing is retarded, but even so, it's usually also entertaining to a degree. If it gets people shooting, good for it. And if it sticks around with matches offering prizes, even better. I haven't read too many matches descriptions for these things, maybe three, and they seem weak, but things generally improve with time.

As MG stated if it gets folks out shooting then it can not be a bad thing. I look at this like I do any match and see if it fits me. If not then I don't participate more than once or twice to experience it. Like IDPA and USPSA.folks will shoot what they like (hopefully experienced as well) and the MD makes or breaks the match as I see it.
