Oklahoma Section RO Class

I understand the fact that money is needed to get a class going but if I send money and than cannot take the class I will be SOL. I go home (back to NJ) twice a year and it will be in August this year so I will not be available that month. So if it is set for that date I would not be able to make it. Is there not a way to set a date say July 27/28 and if all the slots are not filled by one month prior the class is cancelled and all money is refunded? This one month will give time to get a flight and hotel reservation for the instructor but will also give people (like me) a way to schedule this class into our busy calendars. Heck even schedule it in September and if the slots are not full by sometime in July than refund money... I would send money right now if I knew a class date. Just my opinion not trying to step on any toes!
 
Send money now, ask for refund later. Of the class fills over the minimum there is no good reason for not getting a refund.

There has been talk from people wanting to know the dates of the RO class and I understand, but you have got to understand my side, if I commit to this date and we don't have enough people I am in trouble. So, of the 3 dates that I posted that Troy was available I'm going to go with July 13/14 at the OKC range, if we do not fill it by July 1 I will cancel it and we will decide what to do at a later date.

I've got 8 paid, we need a minimum of 12 more, the subject of refund has come up also. If you cannot make it and we have enough to cover the cost of the class, yes, I will refund. If there is not enough then no, there will be no refund. But really, all the shooters in this area we shouldn't have any problem covering this class.

Ok guys, everyone has a date and a place, if you or someone else you know wants in on this the clock is ticking

For those that are planning on attending the RO class, you must be a member and be current. That's their requirment.

The check is in the envelope & the envelope is stamped.

Rob and I discussed the class a bit at the OKCGC match on Sat.

A fellow shooter in the OK section has donated the funds for a free slot to the RO class. With all that our state has been through recently there is a good chance that someone whom would like a slot can't justify the cost at this time. There won't be any vetting, justification or questions asked. It will be incumbent upon the individual's honor and integrity to submit their name for a chance at the donated slot. All that is asked is that only folks with a genuine interest in the class, and have a financial hardship put their name in the hat. It would also be awesome if that individual was able to work Production Nationals in Tulsa this year, awesome but by no means required. Kind of promoting the state at a National event type thing.

If no one takes the donated slot, then the extra funds will go back to help support the section. If there is more that one person that puts in for the donated slot, then a fair and equitable way to decide who gets it will be devised. All parties will know how the process will work so that it is as transparent as possible.

Rob has a full plate so he asked if I would run with this. Just pop me a message by July 1st high noon if you are interested. Names will not be make public in any way.
