Oklahoma High-Cap Hose Down Match II

Steve the only difference between this match or any other match compared to the heartland match is that they ae bigger. This one in particular is a kit bigger meaning you will want to have 50+ rounds on you for one stage. Tou know the safety protocol from heartland. You are ready for anything including 3 gun!

I **** waut for this matxh! gunna be a blasy. lol
Gawd i love it when you reply with your phone Jesse. Brightens up my day. Really makes me use my brain.

This one really wasn't that hard to cypher but sometimes they are real puzzles I love it

Steve ..... You are ready for anything including 3 gun!

You have more confidence in me than I do. Seriously, you guys are much appreciated in how you encourage and help out those of us trying this stuff out for the first time.

I think I'll have to make this match for sure!

Notes:
Get some more mags
Get some mag holders
Put trigger finger on an excersise program
Practice mag changes
Practice shooting, practice shooting......
Bring lots of ammo.

Each one of those stages was right around 60 rounds each last time out, I went into every one of them with FIVE 20 rounds mags (100 rounds for anyone counting)... If I ran out of ammo at any point rest assured that something had gone very wrong. lol...

Steve, the Ponca City guys are a particularly good group who are attracting new shooters every month. Do not hesitate to shoot this match, it will be a great time. You can squad up with any of us and get all the help you need or want. lol.

Entry forms will come out around the first of August. We are still working on some finishing touches before publishing them. The food guy is getting us prices etc.
Stay tuned, it will come.

Last time we only recognized open and limited. This time we are kicking around recognizing limited 10 also (or at least high 10 round gun). Man that is a lot of mag changes to get through a stage. We had high cap guns that had to do flat footed reloads.
That match was the most fun I have had shooting in quite a while. Of course, I like shooting a lot of rounds and have been a hoser for years. This one will be just as good or better. We learned quite a bit with the last one.

i think you should open it to L10, i don't have a L10 gun, but if someone has enough mags, why stop them from shooting??

I suggest recognizing Production and allow them to load up their mags to capacity.

Ok, it's not 100% in line with USPSA rules, but neither is a 60 rd stage. And you'd get more shooters.

I'm a production shooter and I shot the match with a set of high cap mags from Jesse. It was no big deal, But if i had to go into a stage with 6 or 7 mags on my belt it would of been a different story. There would be a lot of static reloads for the single stack/production guys that that sucks, just top off your mags and shoot limited.

I think the way it was done the first time with limited and open worked out great. Load those production rigs all the way up and let er rip!

Hmm, if I can get a chance to I want to shoot this. This will probably become a very popular event :)

L10 is pretty popular up here in Ponca.
The rules we ran the match by was, standard USPSA rules except for the number of rounds in the stage. Seemed to work pretty well. Everyone knew what to expect. I think it will run by those rules again.
We are not sure about the 10 round thing, just been kicking things around.
