OKCGC Multi-Gun Match 7/17 9:00am

Is it wierd that I've had all my elephant dung ready to go for this match since the first day this thread was posted? >:D

Anyone else? :stupid:

Plan on needing 75 of each pistol, rifle, shot. We might try to shoot 2-5 slugs and 2-5 buckshot too.

Tony you are not wierd, I missed the last 3gun and the one before that. So I have been ready for 3 months.
Of course, 3 months ago I got my Browning A-5 tuned up with some stuff from Nordic and have been wanting to shoot it ever since.
So if you are wierd then I am too x3.
Hope we have a lot of shot gun stuff.
I have a refrigration suit on order but it is not here yet.

I really wanted to shoot this one since it was cancelled last month but it's vacation time and gotta go spend a little time in the Rocky mountains. It will still likely be in the high 80's low 90's at 11,000 ft
See you guys next month.

Wes

9 pellet is pretty standard. Buckshot will be a paper target within 25 yards. Slug might be a paper target or a steel target at 50+ yds. I'm not sure what the plan is yet.

Like chambers said. 9 bellet buckshot is the max. You will want something tight for buckshot as we will ne shooting those strange IPSC square targets that ate about 8 1/2"x11" at 5-25 yards. The goal with buckshot is to get to hits on paper ti neutralize the target. Most of you have probably never utilized buckshot like it's supposed to be used so we are gonna test your pattern. I'm thinking we will do one of those mixed target deals where you gotta shoot a slug, then buck the bird them reload and do some more randomness. It will be clays for the shot, Ipsc paper for the slugs and A bunch of those cool IPSC A & B targets for the buck.

Bring 5-10 rounds of both buck and slugs please. We are gonna have some fun.

oh boy. If the big brown truck company does what it is supposed to I shall be there with new rifle a'blazin'

As much as I love the shooting the shotgun, I really hate the bs,slug, bird thing. Thanks Jesse...

I hated it the first time too. Once you learn how to load your shotgun it's a piece of cake. I'll set it up on the easy side so it will be a learning experience as well as fun for everyone.

Anyone know where you can get reduced recoil slugs/buck locally? Or anyone have enough to sell at the match?

I usually bring enough to sell to folks but unfortunately I'm going to have to miss this month.
