OKCGC 3-gun match 7-27-13

Weather was great. Can't believe it was only mid 80's for a July match. Stages were great. Thank you Kurt and Mike. And Rush for mowing.

I completely screwed up 4 of 4 stages, today wasn't my day for shooting.
Other than that, the weather was good, the bays were excellent & the stages were great.
The only problem was me.....oh well, next time :D

This was definitely a shock top weekend who needs a beer
had a few already, trying to forget my performance today

Today was my first 3 gun competition and I had a blast!! Thanks to everyone for all of the help and answering all of my stupid questions. You guys are good! The set up was great...very hard for me...but great! It appears that I am going to have to learn to shoot left handed. I had no idea that you had to be proficient shooting left and right handed. ha Now, I just need to go buy a bunch of crap to shoot this match. Oh well, it beats shooting at paper at H&H. Thanks again everyone.

It was a fun match but not exactly a confidence builder. I found out I for sure suck at shooting a shotgun left handed. As far that goes, I also suck at shooting a shotgun while leaning around a corner, either right of left handed. Texas Stars suck too. I can tape ok. Crap.

Tony, you need to get some makereadyproshop.com t-shirts and boxers made. Feegee wants to wear them at dinner parties.
One day i was loading next to Will who had an ammo box from makereadyproshop.com. It had a "disturbing' caricature of Tony on the top. I hope the boxers don't have the same image!

I must have been shooting on the wrong squad because they talk about how nice the weather was, I do not agree. I keep hearing how it was a great match for everyone, well, it may have been a great match for you, but it was not a great match for me. :) But thanks anyway to all those who helped put it together.

fyi, the scoresheets are already numbered, you numbnuts. Im flipping paper on a sunday when I should be flipping burgers.

ok, scores done, tony'll post em soon.
they should be on OKCGCs website soon.

Id like to take this time to thank Pro Shooter Chris Andersen for taking the time to drive semi-pro Jake Burki to the match. Always giving back; he is!!

and you guys really need to get your scopes dialed in, and get some practice shooting a good controlled shot at 100+yd targets.

Too many time outs on the long stage. as it is right now, I know who's food and ammo Ill be raiding when its TEOTWAWKI and TSHTF. LOL!

that long pistol stuff isnt any excuse either; if I put the same size target at 10yds, adjusted for yardage, at 10 yards, youd be looking at a 3"high by 2" wide target.

Most folks can and should be able to hit that.

thanks for coming, see you next month,
wish I could have stayed to shoot.

Did you guys throw a pistol target out at 50 again?

Sorry I missed it. I was planning on being there all week long, but on Thursday I was informed that my niece's BD party was Saturday at 2:00. The ladies in the family were not amicable about moving the venue to OKCGC. Women are funny that way.

Is it a good thing or bad thing to have a sadist designing stages?
