OK State .22 & .223 Tactical Rifle Indoor Championship

Jesse rocks ! Not only did he shoot a full day SATURDAY, he shot another full day SUNDAY....and still made it back to shoot and score this match!

The Post-it stage also had a bonus target that, if hit, deducted 2 seconds off your time. There were three of them available, so the shooter could deduct 6 seconds off his stage time.

The "stick stage" wasn't as hard as some people thought it would be, but if we do something like that again, the stick won't be on a black background!

What was that a 24x scope? Nice shooting!

Thanks. It is a leupold vxiii 4.5-14 AO. I had it set on 4.5 power and was still too much for indoors like that. The rifle is a Clark custom w 8oz Kidd Trigger... It's a fun gun and an absolute tackdriver at 25 and 50 yds.

That's great! Paul I like your comment at the end about not knowing where POI was. Who knew you would need a "spotter" for an indoor match. I don't think I would have known my POI either at those indoor distances, plus small targets and poor eyesight, I'd be hopin for some luck.

What were most of you guys rifles zeroed for? I currently have my M&P 15-22 and red dot zeroed for 25 meters, because I shot at an Appleseed and just left it there, and planning to do another one down the road.

Jesse was talking mechanical offset... For me personally it was more like magnanimous horsesh1t... :-)

I got this rifle about 2 weeks ago and had just mounted the aimpoint on it... Just didn't have enough time to become familiar with zero at different ranges. I had it zeroed at 10 ids. And point of impact was significantly different out to 20 yds. The gun is fun and shot wirhout a problem... It was all me. It was a blast though and Ii can't wait for the next one.

I shot two guns and it was a little hard going from the 8 oz Kidd trigger to a stock 5 lb trigger on the Sr22. I'll have to do something about that trigger before the next match. :-)

I was wondering if it's possible to shoot steel indoors? Will the frag be a huge problem? I have 18 4.5" round knock over plates that would have been a lot of fun to shoot with a .22 at this match. I can knock them off with my .22 at 50 yards so they aren't to heavy. Just curious as to the safety concerns.

Steel indoors would be no good I would think. Not only would the splatter go anywhere, everywhere, buy the lead splattering would put a huge amount into the air to breath in. I know heartland has good ventilation but don't think I want to breath lthat much ead all night.
