My wife and I are certified NRA Basic Rifle instructors. Sadly, we're moving after the holidays. I wanted to see if anyone is interested in taking an NRA Basic Rifle class over the next two months or so before we jet.

The NRA has a curriculum, but we can tailor to the group. Our area of expertise (and the NRA curriculum) is traditional position shooting. In addition to our NRA credentials, we're both RWVA Appleseed shoot bosses with hundreds of instructional hours on the range, and I've coached at Camp Perry's SAFS. NRA offers a "first steps" program which is just a half day suitable for brand new shooters, as well as a full-day (and I mean full day) curriculum.

We teach because we love coaching, so rates will be reasonable. We do need to cover the cost of NRA materials, range time, and insurance, though.

We have range access in Sumter but if you have an appropriate facility I'm willing to discuss travel to meet with your group or family.

Just figured I'd throw it out there -- I've had some PMs in the past on the subject!
