No USSA ProAm this month

They don't support club matches like they did in the past. There is no staff support now. It's all on volunteers. Things may be changing with the new owner. But for now, we're mostly on our own.
 
Hmmm... Theres a very distinct oder of something resembling the fecal matter of bulls present on this thread lol!
 
I can speak for USSA, Robert you sound like you may want to help run two matches on that weekend I would be glad to help you coordinate all the set up that it takes to run one proam. You can ask Mr. Hughes but it is at least 6-8 hours set up time with a 3 man crew plus all other considerations. I will help just as do with all my match directors. Feel free to call me Jade 918-948-7856 as part of the USSA management TEAM. We leave the options of matches up to our directors who make the best decision for the range.
 
Robert you also have to remember that ussa membership went from the 1000's to the 4000's in the past 3 years. WE also need people to help work the big matches and as you know that staff comes from the guys who shoot the local matches. Ussa also make a lot more for the big match then the 200 bucks a club match is bringing in. I don't think it is a USSA does not support the club match thing because we know Jade and Les are behind us.
 
I want to give props to Jade and Les. They do care about club matches. They do not get any support at this point. Hopefully that will change.
 
Amen Ryan and Jeff. The new ownership and team are working very hard to make things better, they have a full plate on the table at the moment, Changes are being made daily to get things impoving, but there are only so many manpower hours in a day. im greatful for the help ive been given and know it will only get better as time goes on
 
Thank you all who are helping us change this range, we are day by day but I ask the others to take the time and see what we have done or come have a conversation with one of us to see where we are going. Again we could not do this club matches without our great volunteers. THANK YOU

I've done the long distance match director thing. I'm fully aware of what it takes.
I'm a customer that lives 2 hours away, so its not a viable option. Nice try though.
I have travelled to USSA, from Ft Smith, many, many times to participate in USPSA, Steel Challenge, and Pro-Am.
Its important, as a customer, to have a consistent venue.

Its a shame to me, that a magnificent facility like USSA, throws the schedule and commitment out the window when the reality TV show comes to town.
 
Robert, thanks for clarifying that for us. I know I wasnt the only one who was a little confused about that. your opinion about the show differs from mine and personally I think thats great, Its great that we live in a country where we can exercise or first ammedment right while on a forum dedicated to our second ammendment rights. I guess mine is based on working all of the matches last year. Reality TV... Well the matches arent scripted but the stages dang sure are are set up for looking good on TV. Its not your outlaw match with natural terrain and long shots ( f'in love those ). But something you may not be aware of that was pretty awesome last year. We had 2 shooter expos with Idpa,3Gun and USPSA mock stages set up. The combined number of unique shooters ( unique meaning spectators not affiliated with the match or the pro shooters) totaled 174. that means the TV show and the marketing done in Tulsa pryor to those 2 matches yielded 174 people getting to find out about competitive shooting. Those people are the ones we will see at the local matches... My only regret about competing is that no one talked me into trying it sooner. I know it may not change your opinion but hey if I can be a part of something that can reach that many new shooters and all it costs me is a club match reachedule... Bring it on
