Boo!!! Last month was awesome! I guess I'll be rocking out at OKCGC's bimonthly Steel Challenge!

Im working with Jeff for this months 3 Gun Club match to try and give it a little pro am style. I know we all hate missing it so we will have alot of steel and some higher round counts to try to make up for the cancellation. It unfourtunately conflicted with the Pro Series Qualifier match... I will have all of the stages up by this weekend... Also good luck to three of our local shooters competing for an invite to the pro series. Jake Burki, Ryan Mullet and Julie Sanford!!!!

I just realized 3GN takes our March date too. What day works as an alternate? I can't do Sunday March 16, John and I are ROing the 3GN Pro Series this year.

F'ing 3gun damnation. Promoting the shooting sports by destroying local matches.
Robert, that's on USSA.

Same thing happened last Sept with IDPA Nationals and in Oct with USPSA Production Nationals.

USSA does not even consider club matches when scheduling other events.

We'll do ProAm the 5th Saturday of March for sure...

Nor should they. They have at least one match every weekend; if they tried to work around club matches they'd never host anything.

I agree, my point is that it's not 3GN's fault...

I disagree. They have a huge number of bays to use. I remember a few years ago, we had a USPSA club match at the same time that the IDPA state match was being held. It made the restrooms a little crowded, but nothing more. Same thing happened for swat nationals or some such thing.

Club matches are scheduled for the calendar year, or longer. It shouldnt be too hard to let them run.

I'm not in on the internal decision making process at USSA, but I imagine that they're trying to keep bays open on the weekends for the membership to use. You COULD have two matches at once but it wouldn't leave much room for regular people to do whatever people who don't shoot matches do.

John and I are on the permanent RO staff for 3GN this year.

We could have the match if someone else wants to set it up and run it.

Parking is another thing too trying to run 2 matches at the same time plus the people that are there spectating and just using there membership.

Parking and extra bays weren't an issue before.

Like I said, I've seen them host a Major match, on the same day as a local match, along with their usual classes, and members plinking away.
They used to be capable of such things.
