Looking at a few affordable or better-said nicely equipped AR platforms for 3 gun competitions, want to stay below the 2k mark but I could squeeze in $2500 to 3k for a super nice platform.

Currently I’ve looked into so many different brands, but the one that impressed me with most was the Lactac Raven platform, but at a cost of 3k. I get a discount due to my Military/public safety career but with the many options out there I decided to seek some guidance from the forum members who have more knowledge than me in the 3 gun competitive field.

I also looked into Radical Firearms 3 gun ready rifles, which are nicely priced. Taran Tactical TR1 ultra lightweight, Daniel Defense, Civilian force arms, and the list goes on.

So, which AR platform is the most ready and budget friend out of the box to get into the competitive 3-gun field? Oh, almost forgot… I prefer a 1-7 twist rate, chambered .223 wylde… Looking forward to some guidacnce~suggestions~

Thanks~

With that last statement of what you prefer you should really be building your own custom gun using parts of your own choosing.
I don't think anyone makes a rifle that is perfect for my tastes right out of the box.

Thank you, however, if I had the knowledge, etc as to which parts are of better quality, etc etc then I would actually built a custom gun. But I don't thats why I came here to get some suggestion, guidance. But I do appreciate the response

I think the competition colt or the armalite 3gun are probably the best out of the box $4$ rifles for 3gun. But like Jesse said neither are what I would consider perfect but if you start with one of them or something similar you can modify it as you go.

I know you would prefer to buy a pre-built option, but the only way to get exactly what you want is to build your own. It can also save you a lot of money which can be put towards a quality optic.
It's really very simple and uses a minimal amount of tools.
There are hundreds of YouTube videos that show the process from start to finish.

If you're dead set on going pre-built though, the colt or Armalite will fill the bill exceptionally.
If you get a pre-built, replace the comp with a Titan or Rolling Thunder.

Buy anything free-floated with a decent compensator, and rifle length gas system. Buy a good mount for a good optic. Practice and practice and practice.

If I had to buy one off the shelf, it would be the Armalite. It's almost all the way there. Toss in a Hiperfire and you're GTG.
Ditto, that and one of the new Vortex pst gen ii's will put you just over 2k

That being said by building my own I have exactly what I want with a Vortex Razor for just under 2k

Those are pretty well equipped for the money. Does it not come with a good trigger?

I think it comes with a Timney and if it's the same one I have on my bench rest AR, I prefer the Hiperfire 24 3G. I really like what Hiperfire did with their triggers and have used them before getting into 3 gun. Just a personal preference is all.
