so far I think its a great full size .22lr pistol. Threaded Barrel! Very crisp trigger! sights are easy to pick up. The only things that bother me are the safety, its huge and you have to reach around it to hit the slide release, and the fact that it only comes with one magazine. Will do a range report after I get the massive amounts of grease off this thing.

Yeah its a 12+1 and they have 10 round mags as well for the states that suck. Seems the general consensus is that even though it was made by Walther it will eat anything, unlike the P-22 problems some people had.

For some reason the forum is only displaying about a third of the photo.

I was considering an M&P .22 as a suppressor host because all the threaded barrel needs is an adapter for the appropriate twist.

Is the slide lock only on the right sight, or like the safety, is it ambidextrous?

Thanks for the pictures.

I've seen them for $350 to $380. Kind of pricey for a .22 but unlike Sig's Mosquito, the M&P .22 seems high quality and not just junk branded with a good name.

the slide lock is ambidextrous, and the magazine release is reversible. I had a p-22 and loved it. Mine was one of few that worked well. I mainly got this so my little man has a pistol to shoot alongside the GSG5 he has been shooting.

tell me you dont mean Walther P22.

No, Walther is good. I actually think my wife's P-22 is more solid than their PK-380. The Sig Mosquito is not Sig's best offering.

I want a "full size" .22 pistol and I've been debating an M&P .22 or a GSG 1911 .22.

It's a fullsize 1911. I imagine firing the .22 round through it would be like shooting a BB pistol.

I debated a .22lr conversion kit for my Kimber, but for the cost, I might as well get a whole new pistol.

I had one of the GSG 1911 .22's...It was a lot of fun to shoot...

AIM Surplus has a few extras for them. I bought an extra mag from them. They also have different spring spacers for the mags that add 4 more rounds to the mags. Then, you go from 10 rounders to 14 rounders...

I also bought a thread adpter to change thread pitch so you could use a suppressor on it....It was a cool weapon...But, Of course...someone needed it more than me, so it went elswhere and I never did get to try it with a suppressor...

So after a range trip I can say this m&p 22 is absolutely awesome. It shot blazers ,federal bulk , Remington bulk, and mini mags without a single failure...make quite the muzzle flash too..for a 22 it was quite large

I recently acquired a Browning 1911 .22 Compact and its 85% of a full size 1911. Its a sweet shooting gun but doesn't like 37 gr ammo. All 40 gr I've tried works well.
