New to the forum, new to guns.

I have one and love it. One of my best friends has one too. They love federal bulk blue box. Welcome to the insanity!
Do you know if the colored inlay grips are better than the stock black ones? The black ones look all plastic where the colored inlays look like the inlays are rubber.

Edit: Never mind, I found that the stock black is plastic and the colored inlays are rubber, thanks though!

Well this sucks. Academy carries the 4.5 inch for $229.99 but not the 6 inch version. Bass Pro has the 6 inch for $259.99. Just my luck, looks like I am going Pawn Shop hunting on Thursday, wish me luck. Looking into ammo types also, this is getting confusing, I want ammo, but don't want to get cheap stuff that will misfire or get stuck in the gun.

One thing I learned about gun shopping. Driving around looking costs money in the way of fuel and time. If I find something I like and know it's unavailable anywhere at a far better price I just bite the bullet and buy then and there. Such is the nature of firearm buying.

BTW, welcome to BS. Whatever you do... don't buy from Gunworld on Sunnylane there in Del City. Way, way overpriced for just about everything.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually going to go to Gunworld until I read all of the horrible reviews on google. How is their gun range? It would be nice to have a place so close to me to shoot at, but will probably stick with Heartland so I can support a great company from the reviews I have read here.

Any suggestions for a location first time training?

Here is another training opportunity for you.

We have everything from the drawing from concealment to defending common attacks with the gun. We are adding 15-20 videos a week.

Here is more information about the program.

Edit: And it looks like i will have to wait 5 days after applying for the gun to actually purchase it according to Oklahoma laws...

??? What's this about? Filling out the paperwork and background check only takes a few minutes. What is it that's going to take 5 days?

4. If you are buying a handgun, automatic weapons or suppressed/silenced firearms, you will be required to wait 5 days after the NICS check before you can purchase the handgun

I've never purchased anything that was full auto or suppressed, I don't have the proper permits to do so. I've bought quite a few handguns here in OK though. There is no waiting period. You fill out one form, wait a few minutes while the salesman calls it in, and walk away with a shiny new thunderstick. The longest this has ever taken was maybe 20 minutes. I have no idea where the page you linked to got this info, but is incorrect, at least with regards to handguns.

Haha, thunderstick. Alright, thanks for putting me at ease, I hate waiting.

Never used Gunworld's range so I can't comment. Alhouth I'm in MWC near Tinker, I go down to Sgt. Everett's in Moore since it's an easy drive south down Sooner to Indian Hills Rd and I-35. Since I ride a motorcycle, this usually allows me to enjoy a nice, relaxed ride without fighting traffic and then a chance to shoot followed by a nice ride back to MWC.

Sounds like a plan, i don't have a bike, but I have a convertible. I will check them out, thanks for the info.

Edit: Wow, only $10 with no time limit? Will they let you bring your own targets?

Yes. They sell torso sized targets for $1 each. I've got an annual membership so I'm down there usually once a week shooting my .22's and occassionally my centerfires.
