New to the area. Hello from Guthrie.

Hey guys Just moved to town. I just graduated college in Lubbock and have a job at Tinker AFB my wife got a job at OSU.

I called Stillwater Armory asking about local matches. I talked to Matt (AKA JustSayWhen) and he referred me to boomershooter.com.

I just got all my reloading gear setup again and wanted to look into what the area had to offer. :keeporder:

Welcome to Oklahoma and BoomerShooter. We have some kind of match almost every weekend and within a short drive of Guthrie. Oklahoma City Gun Club is the closest to you and Ponca City is just a short drive to the North.

I did a few IDPA matches there at a local range in Lubbock. I didnt like the people so I stopped going. (If you wernt in their clic you were not very welcome) My brother shoots a LOT of USPSA in the Abilene texas area and loves it. The wife was the 4-H small bore 3 position state champion of New Mexico twice and she wanted to get back into that now that we can pay to play the game..... SO IDPA, USPSA, and the likes. Also, a small bore rifle competion for the wife.

Welcome to the party! The closest club to Guthrie is OKC Gun Club. They have USPSA, Steel Challenge, ICORE, my favorite 3 gun and all those other stand/lay and shoot matches.

There is a small range in Guthrie that holds an occasional action/tactical shotgun match. The owner is kind of a dick though.

I believe sometime in September there will be a small bore state match at the Ponca City rifle and pistol club. I don't know all of the details.
