I need to know the original pound strength for Springfield Ultra Compact. Years ago my gunsmith put in the strongest spring he could. Now, with getting up in age (70) I cannot rack the slide anymore. I don't have the strength. Could anyone tell me what strength or pound strength the original was?

It's not a V-10. It's a model before the V-10. It's 20+ years old.

just saw this thread & looked @ my note on 1911 spring rate for an Officer Model 1911 & none found !
some quick online checked found a 22# spring works well for that size 1911.
Another source said 18#- 22# for an Officer sized 1911 in 45 acp
