Just picked up a Taurus PT92AF tonight, and man is it SCHWEET!

I could have either gotten the Beretta 92FS or the Taurus PT92AF, and I chose the Taurus.

It has a frame mounted safety/decocker as opposed to the slide mounted, and it has a nice rail on it for light/laser/popcorn maker.

Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I need to practice with it! I'm bringing it to the Carry Gun match on Sunday.

Need to get another magazine for it though, but got plenty of time for that :D

I had one, I loved and would buy it again over the Beretta - Thumb safety location, spring decocker, metal trigger guide rod
I got my mags from Academy Sports - 20 bucks for 15 rounders - they also have the 32 rounder (cabelas for like 20 bucks). I really loved this gun!

Yeah I just broke the gun down and clean it, and jeez it's simple. Much easier than the 1911, which was already really easy.

cool, that is my gun of choice also. It is a little big for conceal carry but is just a beauty to shoot.

ok, so that was being kinda crude.

I dont understand why folks dig da/sa guns. thats all.

Different strokes for different folks. I love the design and the 9mm is a great round for me. Not too mention the price is right.

Not for everyone, but I am in love con mi pistola nueva.

alritey there mike, me and you at the heartland match. The PT92 vs whatever tricked out accurate iron fancy shmancy gun you can come up with. And we will see who comes out on top

:o

You fellows that have them, I've heard that you can use Beretta mags, but you have to alter them a bit. Truth?

its the ambidextrous mag release - berettas use a thin mag catch the taurus has a big hole but if you overload the mags, they dont like to stay in the gun

I had fun with mine - shot 2 or 3 matches with it - it is a great gun, especially in SA
It was so great you got rid of it & got the M&P?

I've got one in .40 & it just sits there in the safe hoping one day I'll take it out to play. I'm definately with Mike on this one.
Even the s/a function is not great.

Wow, I seemed to have struck a nerve. It's definitely a great pistol for the price. Is it the best? No. Is it perfect? No.

No one said this was the best pistol nor that there weren't better pistols out there.

I love my hi-point. It is better than any of the above. IF YOU don't like it, you must not be American!
