I can't take it anymore!!!

We gotta know if we are going to be knicking down steel at the ProAm, shooting the Area 4 Championship and shooting all of the great club matches there in 2011.

Who has the scoop?

No one that's talking. The word should have been out by the 1st of the month and still no word. Unfortunately, that's going to have a negative impact on the new owner if they're keeping it open to the public and large matches. Frank Garcia is using this void to his advantage and drawing a lot of big name matches to his faciltiy in Florida.

I know that IDPA wanted to come back, but couldn't hold out any longer. I'm not real thrilled about running a match halfway across the country. Logistically, it's a LOT more difficult. :(

It is not a really good business decision for them. Personally my membership will be up in the next month or two and I am not sure if I will renew. The issue I have is not so much letting the public know but letting the members know. Posting something on the website is not what I call customer service. Just one persons opinion letters should have been or should be sent to all members about what is going on. Not the minor details but the basic here is what is happening. Just my opinion. I will say I really enjoy shooting at USSA and might end up out there today depending on how warm it gets.

It is highly unlikely that anything that is going on currently with the sale of USSA has anything to do with the range, or its personnel. It has to do with the processes associated with receivership and this type of a transaction. Several parties place bids, then the bank reviews them. Then they contact the lower bidders and offer them the option to bid again. Then they contact the leading bidders and collect financials. Then they ask for more paperwork...and on and on. These sorts of things can be bureaucratic nightmares that drag on for a while.

I have been a part of several commercial large real-estate transactions and they can be a real mess with just one buyer and one seller, let alone what is going on here. And I am sure the folks at USSA would love to keep everyone aprised of the situation, but that isnt always possible (or even available to them) with something this complex. That is unfortunately not very condusive to all of us making our yearly match schedules. But in the end if it insures that Tulsa keeps one of the best ranges in the country around, I am happy to wait.

Well stated, Chris, and I agree completely.
