New member here. I just wanted to introduce myself. I love all guns but compete in long range precision tactical matches. Looks like 3gun is the favorite around here. I'm going to have to get into it. Looks like a lot of fun.

I a member at the OKCGC. They don't have any tactical matches like the ones I like to shoot. 3 mils right in North Texas and Oklahoma Practical Precision Shooters puts on matches in western Oklahoma.

Jesse Im with you on this one, we need to get some LR shoots going, I mean OKGC has 600, which is a start...

The problem with OKCGC is you shoot at paper at 600 yards. It gets boring fast. They do have the silhouette range, but it only goes to 500 meters. OKCGC is a great place to practice and to learn. I wish we could get 1000 yard range with steel targets. Once you get the hang of it you will want to stretch your rifle a little further than 600 yards.

I agree, but for precision with small caliber thats pretty far. Ive shot irons on an m16a2 and at 500 yds the targets a lot skinnier than your FSP. Anything 5.56 or smaller is gonna be a challenge to be consistently precise, I think anything 30cal/308 and up is gonna need a 1000 or so like you said. My 700 needs to get the dust knocked off...
