I am from Kershaw, SC and I am 65 years old. My main interest is in traditional muzzleloaders and the history around them. I have replica black powder pistols, revolvers, and rifles. I also have a few cartridge guns so muzzleloaders are not my only interest. Genealogy is another interest of mine and how history has affected my family and how, at times, members of my family have affected history.

Welcome. My first deer taken by rifle was black powder. Man I can still remember that boom and smoke

Talk about boom and smoke. I was at a Civil War reenactment in NC several years ago. There was a cannon crew there from Florida shooting an original CW cannon. They were loading it with 1/2 pound of black powder and on top of that 1/2 pound of flower. Big BOOM and SMOKE !!!

Welcome from the Upstate. Lots of my cowboy action shooting friends shoot "the Holy Black". I like seeing the clouds of smoke, the balls 'o fire and feeling the concussion when they shoot.
