Hi, I've been interested in shooting matches for a while now but have never gone to any, I'm wanting to start either USPSA or steel challenge. I was told there was a few people on here who shot USPSA in Ponca city, so I figured it'd be a good idea to drop by. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you, and hopefully getting started in some matches.

We have matches at Ponca City on the second Saturday of the month. The match designer makes some interesting stages to make one do some thinking while shooting.
When you come to the match, be sure to let us know your a first timer, and you get range safety training one on one and will shoot with folks that know the game.
We will help you during the match to make sure the stages and safety procedures are followed.

Thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to let someone know I'm new when I get there. it will probably be a little bit though, Saturdays are usually booked with work, hopefully I can get some time off.

Poplar Pizza is pretty good down there in Howard. You could make a few matches down to USSA in Tulsa and over at Bone Creek near Arma. I started my gun slinging in Cherryvale.

Yes, there used to be matches over near dexter once or twice a year and Augusta monthly (3 gun). Those would have been much closer for you.
