Dear Boomer Shooters,

I just watch the entire first two seasons of 3 Gun Nation and am an awesome Call of Duty player. My KIT - I shoot a high point 40 caliber bullseye gun with a custom trigger and a high point rifle carbine tactical long gun. I'm going to head to Walmart later to buy a sweet shotty so my 3 gun dreams can be realized. I really feel I am going to be a force around the three gun circle. I have watched every video on youtube so I consider myself an expert mall ninja. Lastly, I bought a dremmel and a draw file last week and completed a trigger job on my pistol. It only went burst a few times, but I fixed it with duck tape and gorilla glue. I am a very experienced gunsmith. Thanks

On a serious note, I am on a couple other forums and some of my personal favorite members from other forums recommend I check out this forum! So here I am... all your base are belong to us.

I have been shooting rifles and shotguns since I was a little kid. Luckily, I had an awesome father that also shared all his knowledge of reloading and gunsmithing too. Never was really interested in pistols until about a year and half ago when a friend forced me to enter a USPSA match. Learned about getting a passionate arse whooping that day and found my new favorite hobby.

As for 3 gun, I haven't tried it yet. I was always more of a long gun guy, however, USPSA really got me into pistol shooting. I found out about 3 gun shortly after trying USPSA. I knew right then that was the direction I wanted to go in, but I sucked at pistol shooting. So, now that I feel a bit more comfortable with la pistola I plan on cutting my teeth in 3 gun. Got one of my AR's converted over, but still deciding on the shotgun.

Pistol - Limited/IDPA 2011 in .40, figure it will work just fine for 3 gun. Will use my IDPA load for 3 gun. STI standard 2011 frame, Caspian Tri-top Slide, Schuemann Bushing Barrel.

AR - Still a work in progress. Azone AR comp, JP low mass bolt, JP trigger, Syrac gas system, MTAC 1-4 scope, Dueck RT sights, and Moe plus grip.

Shotgun- Still deciding, I have my Turkey Gun, Mossberg pump that is ported which will put me in Open um... No! I also have an over/under and a side by side, which neither are ideal for 3 gun, so... double No! Been wanting a semi-auto shotgun for years, just never got around to it, so now I have to decide. Tried out an M2 competition, Mossberg 930, and an FN SLP. The M2 competition was my favorite but hard for me to justify the extra cash. I liked the 930 and SLP too. Figure I'll do some more reading then maybe post a topic to figure it out.

Look forward to learning and sharing my useless knowledge here.

Mike

jk. Seriously welcome aboard, we are glad to have you with us.

Welcome to BoomerShooter!.
I thought Bath Salts were generally consumed before hands and faces instead of eggs and toast. :O
Good luck in your 3-gun adventures.

Thank you for the entertainment!

If you can make it out to the Hernando shotgun/pistol match on the 24th, you're welcome to try out my 930. Most guys who have the 930 there use the SPX config. I have the 28" turkey on mine

I won't get to make it to that one, but I'll be in touch in the future.
