Its a Rossi/Puma in .38/.357 hexagonal barrel with color case blueing on the receiver. Very smooth action for a factory gun but I do intend to smooth it out a bit and maybe replace the lawyer lock.

lawyer lock? Whats it got some kind of key like the Taurus pistols have.
That little tab sticking up just in front of the hammer is the saftey. Why ya need a saftey on a lever gun with a half rooster confuses me  Had to be a lawyers idea

Its the 20in barrel and it holds 8 rds. Its a bit heavy with the hectigonal barrel. But it is damn accurate. 2in group seated at 35 yards. I am sure better hands and eyes could do better.

that's just beautiful! i always like a lever that i can trade ammo with my sidearm. i've got a .44 mag marlin/taurus setup like that. let us know how she functions when you take her out

you shoot it yet? Looks REAL nice!
Last week I had it at Shooters in Asheville. The damn thing is VERY accurate. The works need a little buffing but it is not nearly as rough as some other now juns I tested. It is a bit top heavy but managable and the recoil is almost not noticeable.

Hi Greg ;) I have been looking for one of them or a similar rifle for my daughter...looks nice.

Glad to hear ya found ya way over here. We need to go to the pickens range and give the Rossi a try.
This is the best I could do with it. It was only my secound visit to the range with her. Not broke yet.

Not to shabby...if that's at 100 yards then in is quite good. If not pickens then maybe up here to Andy's place.

I see the distance now. That is still good...is that with .38 ?

Ya, it at 50 yards with 38 special. I am not so good a shot with that gun yet. I think the gun will do better, the fault is mine.
A day at Andy' s would be great. Have not been to see him in quite a while. I forgot you lived over there. I was thinkin you lived near the other Steves.

I've got a Puma '92 lever, 20" bbl, in 44-40, great handy, accurate, little shooter. Gun was not very expensive but the ammo sure as heck is. If anybody ever thought 45-70 was the price of an arm and a leg, try to find 44-40, bx of 50 for under 65.00. ( full power hunting loads ) That is my only compaint about the rifle.
